Okay so here's the deal. Creating comics and writings novels; at least for me, are two different kinds of creative modes. Going forward, I will not do both at the same time. I've finished the rough of NETERS issue one. I'm re-doing the cover to my first novel... not changing the design or anything, just the specs in terms of size. I was writing the prequel to the NETERS story arc, but have since started writing a novel that has kind of bum rushed my time. read more
Anyway... novels seem to absorb my creative juices. I mean they totally take over my time and space. They demand more from me. Creating comics is easier for me. I guess it's because they are visual... not really sure. I've noticed that after doing a comic, or while working a comic, then jumping over to work on my novel(s), I tend to forget to 'paint' the picture when writing the novel. I'm still thinking and seeing in comic mode. I end up writing as if the reader is reading a comic. Weird.
