So it's a done deal. The term NETERS... as it relates to: graphic novels, novels, comic books, comic strips, comic strips appearing in magazines, series of fiction books, & story books... is now a registered trademark. Been a long time coming. All future marks won't take as long, but yeah... time to start rocking the R with the circle around it.



Oh... almost finished blocking out issue two of NETERS. I've got nearly the entire series wrote out. It's easy to simply follow the script, and block out each issue. It's becoming similar to writing novels where each chapter in a novel is an entire issue of a comic.

Over the past week or so, Indyplanet; the online store were issues 0 & 1 of NETERS is available for purchase, was hacked. The folks over at Indyplanet are cleaning the site up. The problem is that if you follow the link to the site, you will get a malware warning... you know, the red and gray rectangle that pops ups and warns you about going to a particular site, etc.

Anyway, we received notice that the problem for the most part has been resolved. Barry; the owner, states that the malware warning will remain active until the net police removes it. He also mentions to stay away from the Indyplanet site, and the ComicMonkey site until further notice. Ka-Blam is clean and back up. read more

You can still purchase issue 0; the Official Guide to the NETERS story arc, at comixpress. I'm still waiting for issue 1 to be added to their catalog. Thanks for your patience.

Received word that the Statement of Use application for NETERS was accepted by the examining attorney. That means the NETERS term as it relates to publications is protected beyond just the copyright. Been a long time coming... like three years. I may start using the R encased in a circle symbol going forward.

I already said it in a previous post... I'm back into developing the NETERS story arc. With the above comic complete and ready for our readership, I've delved head-long into the NETERS novel. I plan to have the first draft of the novel complete before the end of the year. Ideally, I'd like to have it available before 2010 closes, but we'll see.

The next issue of the NETERS comic won't take anywhere near as long as it took this one to drop. I've got my routine down so stay tuned and watch me produce. I believe you will enjoy this particular arc... made some changes to the story along the way, but hey... it bees like that sometimes. With that said, issue 1 is on paper.

Received the proof and was very happy with how the book translated from computer-screen to paper. I made 5 changes and send the files back, so the comic will be available soon. First I'm going to order a copy for myself; wanna test drive the process before I make the official announcement.

Don't want to repeat what I dropped on the main site, but still, just giving ya'll a heads-up in terms of what's going on at the various creative forums where I and other liked minded people build and inspire one another. I'm talking about Black Science Fiction Society. It 'blinked-out' for a few days. We... the creators who drink from it's waters, were in a panic. But it wasn't a 'blind' panic, it was the kind that generated insight. What does that have to do with NETERS... nothing... everything.

Folks are building e-mail/contact links. Vast ones. So in the future, we who walk the electronic halls of this forum or that forum, will have means for communicating and rebuilding. Science Fiction Society is back online, but in wake of future eventualities, so are new places to meet, build, and inspire -

Just five pages left! I was hoping to have Issue 1 available before April. Looks like it will be the second week in April before the book becomes available for purchase. I'm just glad to be nearly done with the comic. I'm itching to get back to the novel. Register to receive notification. Nuff said... I'm back to work.

A few months ago, I mentioned that I was going another way with issue 1 of NETERS. Originally, I was going to basically re-publish the online arc. I've decided to pick-up where the online story leaves off. When issue one becomes available, I'll add a link to the online series. New readers will be able to read the joint that started it all, then snag the six issue story arc along with everyone else. After issue one drops; next month, I'm going to devote all of my creative energies towards finishing the novella (see pic below).

Just trying to get a feel of how the book is gonna look in my hands ... and yours, heh. Working my butt off to bring more cifer-RA to the world, ya'll.
