Old School NETERS...
The above animation is a nearly ten year old file of a couple of wapwet-planes flying over one of the great deserts on the fictionalized continent in the NETERS story arc. I was testing how small I could get a file; music attached, and have it look cool. I was big into flash back then. Played in it's actual size, the sharpness of the animation is awesome. It seems that shrinking the clip to fit on this web page, causes some of the resolution to go to pot. Oh ... and that's an original music score too. lol.

The above pic is an old, old pic of Mafdet standing besides her personal aero-car. I modeled this baby in Amapi. Gonna re-do it in Animation Master.

Ajani of the Ma'atan Code - Master of the Lightning Strike!

Taking a short break from writing. Thought I'd finally learn a free tutorial for creating lightning in Pixelmator. Yup ... this is gonna come in handy. Last year, with the passing of the Great Dwayne McDuffie, I created a character at about the same time I decided to update the uniforms for the Ma'atan Code ... still keeping the RBG tough, lol. I thought it only fitting to keep all things electrical under the command of the people with electric hair ... hah. Anyway, Ajani was born. He belongs to one of the rival team pods of the Ma'atan Code ... rival to Team Heru that is. In fact, I may make Team Monomono, the mightiest Team Pod in all of the Ma'atan Code.I think i'd be cool to have lightning constantly bursting and emanating from Ajani's fro. The more intense the emanations, the more powerful Ajani becomes. I see him drawing neural energy from all living things, converting said energies to everything from lightning bolts to physical strength. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the world of NETERS. see current titles |

Sut'Dia is a bad ass. He is one of my favorite characters. I initially developed several panels of Sut'Dia beating the hell out of a pride of Neo-cats. I imagined a blood soaked Sut'Dia bringing swift death to the scourge of the Aru'malan plains. I decided not to use the above pic in Issue One of NETERS, but you can bet you will see this pic; or similar ones, in future issues of NETERS.

For the past few months, the creative energies up and abandoned me for a time. However, that primal urge to create is starting to flow back into my life. In the process of cleaning out my HD, I ran across a few old pics of some of the characters in the NETERS series. Decided to post them for fun. If all goes well, Issue two of NETERS should be available in about three months. I have no idea when the NETERS novella will come to fruition. I'm even working on revamping the official guide. I think I've said this before, but multi tasking is way over-rated.The NETERS universe is vast. I'm finding I can take this story anywhere. Maybe that's good, maybe that's bad. I have other worlds to explore, and I've recently gotten bitten by the Sword and Soul bug... |
